What is Seagrass Hogla:

HOGLA is a type of eco-friendly natural grass material from which various handicraft products are made. The name of this natural grass is "HOGLA LEAF" and botanical name is  "CYPERUS MANACENSYS". A large number of Hogla leaf trees are grown in Bangladesh. This grass is found in Agailjhara, Gournadi, Hijla, Mehendiganj, Muladi and Bakerganj upazilas of this country.
Hogla rope is made from hogla leaves. From which various types of baskets, vases, pots, placemats etc can be made. Besides, different types of products are made from Hogla leaves. Hogla products are made in two ways i.e. machine stitched and handmade. Due to the huge demand of these products abroad especially in European countries, it is possible to earn a lot of foreign exchange from them. As a result, it is also possible to eliminate the unemployment of the people of this country by producing this product.

What is Jute

JUTE-the Golden fiber is Biodegradable and Eco-friendly natural fiber. Its botanical name is "CORCHORUS CAPSULARIS" ;.
Jute plays a very important role in the economy of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is one of the jute producing countries in the world. There are two types of jute grown in Bangladesh, the White Mesta Jute, also known as Corchorus Capsularis and the Dark Jute, also known as Corchorus Olitorius. To cultivate this jute, the farmers first spread the seeds on the cultivated land. When the plants reach a height of 15-20 cm they are cut and soaked in water for a few days to remove the jute fibers. Climate is an important factor during jute cultivation. Jute grows best in warm and humid climates. Humid climate is caused by monsoons in autumn and warm summers. 80% of the world jute market used to import jute from our country of Bangladesh. This cultivation of jute started in Bengal since ancient times.
First raw jute is processed into yarn and this yarn is used to make rope and cloth. Large quantities of raw jute and finished jute are exported from Bangladesh. Besides, handicraft products are also made from jute.
The quality of jute products in Bangladesh is the best in the world. So the quality of our products has played the most important role in maintaining relations with foreign buyers. So it is possible to earn a lot of foreign exchange from jute as well. At present, polythene bags is being made from jute in Bangladesh. Which is called Biodegradable "Golden Jute Bag". Besides, the colorful tin roof of the household is also being made. Since polybags are not eco-friendly or biodegradable, they are very harmful to the environment, so we should avoid polybags and use more jute products.
